Mr Jeyaseelan is a founding director of Align Orthopaedics, a group of specialist bone and joint surgeons, physicians and physiotherapists on Harley Street. Within the group he works closely with fellow consultant foot and ankle surgeons Mr Amit Patel and Mr Zakir Haider, colleagues at Barts Health, sharing the diagnosis and planning of complex problems and operating together where it adds value.
Physiotherapists, imaging specialists and colleagues for every other joint are part of the same team, so you get one coordinated plan rather than being passed from clinic to clinic.
Complex scans and difficult problems are reviewed by more than one specialist.
For complex reconstruction, two consultants operate together.
Physiotherapy is planned from the start, not added at the end.

Ankle replacement can help people with advanced ankle arthritis whose pain no longer responds to non-surgical treatment. Whether it suits you depends on your ankle's alignment, bone quality and activity level, which we assess together.
Not necessarily. Many foot and ankle problems settle with non-surgical treatment, and surgery is recommended only when it is likely to help.
It depends on the operation. Many forefoot procedures need about six weeks in a special shoe, with full recovery over several months. You'll get a personal recovery plan.
Bring your GP or referral letter if you have one, your insurer's details and authorisation code if you're insured, any recent X-rays, scans or reports, a list of your medicines, and the shoes you wear most. Wear or bring shorts or loose trousers so both legs can be examined.
Yes. Mr Jeyaseelan regularly sees patients who have been advised to have surgery, whose previous surgery hasn't worked, or who are unsure about a diagnosis. Please bring your previous letters, operation notes and scans. You'll get an independent view of all your options, in writing.
